This was quite a big project, involving rebuilding walls, a new front drive, a new terrace at the back and to the sides of the house, new feature flower beds, electric gates, glasshouse and integrated lighting at the front and rear.

We have high standards and expectations and Darren was very keen that we were happy with the work that his team carried out and the total cost, and he responded swiftly to any issues. Dave was a very hard worker and Nick came up with some inspired ideas. Overall we love the end result.

Highly recommended. Darren helped us with the initial design, understood our brief and assured us we would get the result we wanted, which we did. A very impressive team replaced our very old crazy paved drive, dug two soak aways and replaced our water main within the time frame and against the weather. The task; replacing the damaged concrete forecourt to our garage.
We chose the new Cobbletec paving system to match our neighbours.
The work started on time and finished on time. The team of two were punctual, pleasant hardworking and obliging, inviting our comments and suggestions throughout. The delivery of materials was on time and the removal of the spoil was prompt, leaving a clean and tidy work area. Several curves were needed in the paving therefore a number of cut cobbles were necessary, all very neatly accomplished. We are very pleased with final result.

The job carried out was quite major involving generally three workers for a period of five weeks. It entailed removal and replacement of a rear patio, steps to the rear garden, a short length of path to the garden, paths round each side of the house, and the whole of the front drive. The front drive was finished in concrete block paving, the rear and side paths were done in sandstone as was the front doorstep and some pathways at the front of the house. The overall result is very pleasing and worth the inevitable disruption. The workforce were very impressive in terms of their general performance, the skill levels they exercised and flexibility in dealing with the inevitable problems that no one had thought of at the outset.

After the recent heavy rain I noticed that several of my neighbours block paving driveways had pools of water.
Our driveway, laid by Darren Plumridge in early 2010, was completely free of water.
A credit to the workmanship and high standard of installation.

Darren came down for a free quotation, gave me price told me what will happen, when worked started it was like what he said with no snags and very professional team. the quality of the driveway is perfect and is was more than we expected, i would recommend to anyone who wants a driveway with no worries.

It was important to us that we retained our flower beds and in fact we added a little extra garden space. The work was to provide a new Sandstone Patio area to the rear of our house and although only a relatively small area it was quite involved as there were very few right angles to work from.
Darren’s Team were friendly and courteous at all times; including advice on how to look after the Sandstone.
Changes that were required during the work were discussed before being implemented, I felt like I was part of the team and as the customer rightly so.
I would definitely recommend Darren and have praised his work to many friends and family already.
The work was carried out on time and to a very reasonable budget.
Any rubbish, building rubble was cleared on the day leaving the site tidy.

After contemplating as to whether to have a drive to the front or not, I’m glad to say we chose the right decision. Darren and his team have created a lovely drive and areas for planting. We had our own rough drawing as to what we wanted. Throughout the job we were often asked what we required and a few times the team came up with much better ideas than we had originally thought. I chose Plumridge due to the fact that every drive I’d seen of theirs always looked of a good standard. When a friend referred them to me I had no doubt as to their workmanship. From having the worst front garden in the street I’ve gone to having the best! Thanks Plumridge.
